Thermo Ash wood falls under durability class I. The wood remains dimensionally stable, sturdy, and has a warm color. Without treatment, it develops a beautiful, even greying. It is easy to process, entirely defect-free, and suitable for circular facade cladding. Moreover, it can be applied with an invisible mounting system.

The wood comes from sustainably managed forests in Europe and undergoes thermal treatment without the addition of chemicals, being heated to a minimum of 215 °C with steam to prevent cracks and splits in the wood. This heat treatment makes the ash wood durable. After thermal treatment, thermal ash is comparable to tropical hardwood of durability class 1. It not only offers increased durability but also improved dimensional stability and better resistance to moisture and wood rot. The warm color of thermal ash ages beautifully and evenly under the influence of wind and weather.
