Thermo Bamboo, exceptionally hard and stable
Thermo bamboo façade cladding is the result of an innovative production process in which bamboo fibers are compressed under high pressure and thermally modified at 200 °C. This special treatment results in a dense, stable, and extremely hard end product, ideal for outdoor use such as decking boards and façade cladding. Clips are used during installation for both the façade cladding and decking boards. The parts are available with a water-based oiled finish and have a length of 186 cm.
Some advantages of thermally modified bamboo:
Very stable: Through the thermal modification process, the bamboo retains its stability even under varying weather conditions.
Fire class B: The bamboo achieves fire class B, indicating a limited contribution to fire hazard.
Environmentally friendly: Although bamboo is not naturally durable, the thermal treatment makes it suitable for various applications, making it an environmentally friendly choice.
Durability class 1 (EN350): The thermally modified bamboo reaches durability class 1, comparable to the best tropical hardwoods, emphasizing its long service life.
Fastening with clips: Installation is facilitated by the use of clips for both façade cladding and decking boards.
Exceptionally hard: The bamboo becomes extremely hard after the thermal treatment, making it resistant to wear and damage.
Bamboo is a sustainable option!
Bamboo, although naturally less durable, becomes stable and suitable for various applications such as façade cladding and decking boards through the thermal modification process. The thermally modified bamboo exhibits high durability and quality comparable to the best tropical hardwoods. Moreover, bamboo grows very quickly, and new shoots can grow from the bamboo root within days after harvesting. This makes bamboo a sustainable and renewable resource for production.
