Ipé wood – Brazilian Walnut

Ipé has a rich olive-brown to dark brown color with beautiful grain patterns. It is also known as Brazilian Walnut. When left untreated, Ipé wood gradually ages to a glossy silver-gray tone.

Treatment

  • Impregnation: An alternative method to prevent the wood from graying is pressure impregnation.

  • Regular cleaning and re-oiling extend the aesthetic lifespan.
