Abachi bench slats, also known as Ayous, are valued for their light weight and refined appearance. The timber features a very light colour and a smooth, consistent texture with a subtle grain, making it particularly suitable for sauna interiors and furniture projects where both comfort and aesthetics are essential.

One of the key advantages of Abachi is its exceptionally low thermal capacity. Unlike many other materials, it quickly adjusts to body temperature rather than heating up to the surrounding sauna temperature. Even in environments reaching 90–110°C, the surface remains comfortable to sit on. This makes Abachi an ideal material for sauna construction, combining visual elegance with performance in demanding conditions.
