Housewood was commissioned to supply the wood for the ceiling in this project.
For the ceiling, Thermo Ayous FSC® wood was chosen, treated with a semi-transparent coating to preserve its color and rated Fire class B-s1,d0. By using thinner slats (12×92mm), it is possible to bend them to follow the ceiling’s curved shapes. In total, 30,000 meters of these slats are installed on the ceiling.
At the end of 2023, we first made contact with Intos regarding the project. This was followed by a period of sampling, creating full-scale mockups, and testing the end-use situation. Production started in the summer of 2025, and the first slats have already been installed on the façade. The building is expected to be fully completed by the end of 2026.
