What is Thermo Ayous?

Thermo Ayous is thermally modified Ayous wood from West Africa. Through a heat treatment process of approximately 215°C – without the use of chemicals – the wood becomes more durable, dimensionally stable, and lightweight.

Ayous is naturally knot-free with a smooth, even texture, making it perfect for façade applications where a clean and refined finish is desired. It will gradually weather to a uniform silver-grey tone, but it can also be treated to maintain its warm natural color.

Thermo Ayous is a sustainable alternative to softwood or tropical hardwood, offering excellent stability and weather resistance combined with a calm, modern appearance.
