What is Thermo Ayous?

Thermo Ayous is thermally modified wood derived from the Obeche tree, sourced from sustainably managed forests in West Africa. Through a controlled heating process of approximately 215 °C in a low-oxygen environment, the wood achieves high dimensional stability, enhanced durability, and natural resistance to moisture, fungi, and insects, without the use of chemicals.

Ayous is naturally lightweight and easy to machine, making it highly suitable for façade cladding, fencing, and interior applications. Its fine grain and uniform texture result in a clean and warm finish that weathers evenly over time or retains its appearance when treated appropriately.
