Treatment:

• Can be applied untreated to facades. Ages to a beautiful, uniform gray color.
• Various treatments available to maintain the brown color. Such as an Exterior oil, which preserves the appearance of the wood. The grain remains visible and it is easy to apply. Treatment can also be done with a stain.
• Impregnation: An alternative method to prevent wood from weathering is by pressure impregnation. This treatment is similar to the green impregnation used in garden wood. However, with Ayous, this does not result in a green color but rather a slightly darker brown shade due to the natural dark color of the wood.

Processing:

• Very soft wood, easy to work with and customize.
• Caution is advised when shooting nails to prevent them from going too deep.
